The rains fall hardest just before the clouds begin shedding snow down upon the earth. Sometimes it goes back and forth between rain and snow this time of year and often a mix of both descend from the sky. When the weather is at it’s worst it is actually the best time to hunt, at least for one certain creature. The frigid and icy conditions are said to be brought down in the wake of the great winged stags as they descend from their homes in the clouds.
These legendary deer are much sought after for both their meat, fur, feathers, and antlers. Sure, there are other deer, sheep, and antelope that roam about the acreages year round but hunting one of these creatures down is a rite of passage. (Also their meat taste both like venison and game bird.)
This young hunter has yet to bring down one of these great beasts, though she has braved the elements year after year she has not had much fortune. Once a novice hunter has brought down one of these rare animals they are made into a master hunter and will plan and regulate hunts in the country. Not many hopefuls have been able to ascend to this honorable place amongst their community.
