Numerous attack parties of humans have searched for any way into the last goblin home hidden high in the mountains. Some groups have had success in locating the pass but are usually quickly put down by the elite goblin pass guards. This is what happened to the rest of the party this knight was tracker for.
Though the rest of her party was slain, she was able to hack the goblin warriors down. She had found the way in and that if she were to head back then return with more knights that the goblins would’ve garrisoned the pass, fortified it, and probably collapsed the pass walls. So she pressed on, deeper and higher into the pass.
Back in the human realm she was known as Wolf, really due to her eared helmet and the wolf snout she wears upon it. It was also rumored that she was a werewolf and would feast upon human flesh every full moon, but that was just not true. At least not until she was up in the pass. Then she turned to cannibalism.
But she still wasn’t a werewolf.
