Darlingtonia californica, aka California pitcher plant or Cobra lily, is native to Northern CA and OR growing in bogs and seeps with cold running water. This species has a tiny exit hole and offers multiple translucent false exits. Upon trying many times, the insect will tire and fall down into the trap.
