This piece is entitled D.O.S.E. : dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphines. These hormones stimulate our happiness, pleasure senses and all other positive feelings. I wanted to illustrate something that visually displayed how instant gratifications affect my brain. It feels intoxicating and I recognize that my ADHD brain craves D.O.S.E. I think it's important for us to remember that our brains need other sorts of stimulations to challenge us. We need to grow otherwise we'll remain stuck in a cycle forever seeking D.O.S.E.
Hello my name is Kaci and I am a mixed media artist. I started drawing after watching my first episode of Sailor Moon when I was in 1st grade LOL. My style is heavily inspired by Japanese anime (Sailor Moon was a huge inspiration) and blends kawaii aesthetics with dark-themed undertones. Art is my passion and has become an important part of helping me process thoughts, emotions and feelings. I love everything about drawing-creating and hope you enjoy what I manifest <3
