“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature.” - Gerard de Nerval. In today’s Jamaican society, there are many blossoming flowers that sadly become invaded by parasites. They become corrupted and don’t get to bloom as they should. They are often robbed of choice. Full Bloom depicts such a parasite that infected a beautiful hibiscus flower and stole its pistil. The hibiscus however, rests in a body of water surrounded by water lilies, which symbolize love and life. This then begs the question, “Will the flower forever remain infected?” That choice ultimately lies within the flower.
