Katsumi Idogawa was born in Tokyo, Japan. He studied art in Tokyo and Paris. He started his career as a theatrical stage artist. He is an editorial and commercial illustrator, a comic writer and illustrator, and he is the author and illustrator of a children’s book. As a painter he has received several awards. He also won an award for a children’s book competition. Katsumi moved to Canada in 2004.
