Red, while, and blue tiger moth - The original painting was 12" x 12" on canvas, so you can see some of the canvas detail. I created this by first painting an abstract acrylic underpainting, then painting with oil paints on top. This allows the layers to show through the oil paint and gives a depth to both the moth and the background.
