Life is a cycle, growth and development culminating in death that becomes life again. This is represented here by a wreath of life associated with death (death's head moths, black roses, human skulls) around a vibrant pomegranate, a symbol of both death and fertility. The symmetry is interrupted by an elegant sword and falling pomegranate seeds, piercing and spilling.
