This is a quality print of my original mixed media collage. The main element of the collage is my painting of a fox. Other elements include found images, text, and painted embellishments. The fox looks a bit wistful as she anticipates the effort required to get the grapes, but she knows it will be worth it! Foxes are among my favorite animals and this piece was a joy to create. The word written to the left of the fox's head is "fixen," which is an old form of "vixen."
I live on ten beautiful acres in the northern California foothills surrounded by the beauty and drama of nature and wildlife. I have a large extended family of animals – a mouse, two guinea pigs, one chicken, six ducks, seven cats, two dogs, and a horse - who are a constant source of love and learning, and sometimes amusement. I work in many media, both 2D and 3D, but animals are nearly always the focal point in my work. My style is decorative and colorful, and I enjoy making extensive use of my artistic license.
