My Painting inspired by my love of the work of Canadian Artist Mary Pratt who frequently used reflective surfaces like tinfoil in her work. I imagery is reflective of wanting to bounce back the overwhelming messages of negativity in social media today and trying to hide within ourselves
I started drawing at an early age and through my formative years pencil and ink drawing were my sole art mediums. After failing to get into the art school of my choice for university I pushed myself to stay practical and work a “regular” job. Everything changed in April of 2018 when fate put a paint brush in my hand. Come what may, I’ve returned to my path and I won’t leave it again. Acrylic painting, pencil and ink sketching, digital artwork and water colours.
