Back when I was a biology student taking Insect Biosystematics, I wondered how insects with really weird, non-aerodynamic body shapes are still capable of flight. Those thoughts inspired this piece, which contains a walking violin mantis, a weevil, a treehopper and a Kapala genus wasp. Animals are not to scale.
