Crater Lake is a volcanic crater lake located in the caldera left behind after the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama, over 7000 years ago. The lake is the deepest lake in the US, and has no rivers flowing into or out of it, meaning the lake only gets filled up by rain and snowfall.
