The Al-Khazneh, or The Treasury, is a temple carved out of the sandstone rock face, and one of the most famous structures in Petra, Jordan. The temple is considered one of the most elaborate temples in Petra, which was a city in the ancient Nabatean Kingdom. It was named The Treasury by the Beduins who believed it had contained treasures.
