SPIRITUS CONTRA SPIRITUM is a piece about complex ptsd, substance abuse, grief, loss, planchettes, abandonment wounds, thousand yard staring, astral projecting on antipsychotics, having such a shitty dad that you end up with an umbrella tattoo on your wrist, drinking kraken spiced rum alone in your room, and generally living with ghosts and being haunted. i don't really remember when it's from — neverending trauma does that to you — but it's definitely the hardest i've ever worked on an illustration, and maybe the hardest i ever will. thank you for letting me share it with you.
