My continuing theme of light and subject interacting. Not as close-up or detailed in reference so I let the hues and values take center stage and be the details. I love the pear on the left! The the values really sing and it’s physical isolation from the other two really draw my attention.
I can imagine here that these pears represent people. Possible background stories play in my head. The left intently focused on the foreground. The foreground laying down, in crisis. The center is focused somewhere off the canvas, aloof or focused on the past.

My favorite subjects are portraits of people and animals as well as plants. Fall leaves are one of my favorite plant subjects. I paint one every year; usually found on a walk with my family. I like to get close up on them. There is so much delicious detail at the macro range!
