A semi abstract watercolour landscape inspired by the many lakes in New Zealand, and the associated beautiful early morning skies which radiate beautiful pinks/reds.
The painting attempts to convey how seductive the lakes and surrounding landscapes are, and the endless source of inspiration for us all when visiting lakes, or for those who live by the lake.
I am a watercolour artist from New Zealand. My watercolour paintings are inspired by New Zealand landscapes, and strive to convey the spiritual connection we have with landscapes in all of it's manifestations . I am inspired to convey serenity through my landscape paintings.
I use gravity ( tilting board) and water from a spray bottle to move pigments on the paper. This is using spiritual forces to influence the composition. I also use transparent pigments, and allow the colours to mix on the paper to try and display a wide array of tones, values and colours.
