Originally donated to the Milwaukee PBS Auction house in 2019. Tired of seeing Milwaukee represented by predominantly affluent areas and downtown buildings like the art museum, this illustration focuses on the vibrancy of Milwaukee neighborhoods.
Gabriela (Chanchita) Riveros is a Paraguayan-American illustrator whose work revolves around multi-cultural identities, history, and mythology. Storytelling is an integral part of Riveros' work. She is based in Milwaukee and graduated from MIAD in 2016 with a BFA in Illustration. She is currently a full time product-development artist and a freelancer.
