Monroe effect, 2018, acrylic - from collection "Not Plastic Beauty":
I want to show classic beauty but not in a glamorous plastic way. There are layers of textures, bold colors, and a little bit of street style to show powerful, soft, multifaceted nature of woman. There is forever more than just a face. There is always a story and a person behind it.
I maintain figures as prime subject matter. I seek my work to be an ode to free, strong, sensual femininity.
Our reality is constantly changing. It is impossible to stop time to create a perfect moment. I introduce this feeling by embracing impressionism in my paintings.
You will discover abstracted fields of color with a combination of textured impasto and soft strokes in my works.
It creates an interesting to the eye contrast in my representational style works. I like to embrace a feeling of freshly applied paint and emotional dynamic inherent to early sketches.
