I thought I was a gnu from a nature documentary narrated by David Attenborough in the 1970s. I would see them, crossing a river with their arse in the jaws of a crocodile or lion or with their guts being eaten by hyenas still trying to carry on, still getting up and fighting back.
The gnu became my spirit animal. Ugly, ungainly, unprobable somehow and totally unstoppable.

My work is often about perception and self delusion, how the parameters of truth, or reality are all agreed constructs, a lie we are all complicit in.
I work both digitally, and traditionally, albeit in day and ultraviolet paint.
