Here's a piece I did a while ago. It started out as a concept-drawing for Ultros but turned into it's own digital art. It tells the story of two friends. One who is ailed by some sort of parasitic entity which makes her weaker, both in mind as in body. The other, her friend Vasa, a valiant soul who always seem to manage to overcome whatever perilous tasks are pitted against her. Their journey takes them to the ethereal forest, in hopes of finding a cure for the unusual parasitic decease that was caused by an ominous presence in the sky. But as they delve ever deeper, the parasit seems to grow stronger.
I wanted to create a situation that would be impossible for Vasa to overcome. As a valiant knight, she has stood tall against any perils in her path.
After playing too much Soulsborne I got infatuated with the idea of a broken knight. Someone foolishly clinging to hope and past conquerings in the face of apparent defeat.
