After the ship had rested dormant in the sky long enough for it's foetid influence to render the atmosphere unbreathable with thick miasma,
Gardner knew his pilgrimage would be to board the vessel and find the source to it's malign intentions. Little did Gärdner know; he would never see his home planet again, and be forever changed into something that would peer deeper into the knowledge of the universe than he could have ever dreamed of.
