Greetings From The Grave
I was born a day before you die.
People were happy the next day they cried.
My mum said she saw your face on mine.
I know I should be just fine.
You took away the gift from my hand,
By the time I was able to understand.
We did not meet but I feel your bond,
The weight of you on me as I stand.
People wouldn’t understand why
From my birthday I really try
To hide or to satisfy people with a smile,
Let’s keep things discreet for a while.
