The idea behind this pistol was that it was a reward of some kind for honorable service to... something. I liked the idea of a retrofuturistic golden energy pistol inspired by pre-WWII weaponry, and so I worked from there.

Most of my work is done by using a "base" so I have a decent grasp of proportions, and then working from there. Eventually, once I have functional lineart, I upload it to photoshop and color over it. I like to use gradients to do so, as coloring something a flat color always felt... unnatural... to me.
This is a gallery-quality giclée art print on 100% cotton rag archival paper, printed with archival inks. Each art print is listed by sheet size. Our 4 inch prints feature a minimum half-inch margin while larger sizes feature a minimum one-inch margin.
