I use a conventional scanner in an unconventional way, to create experimental self portraits.
I wrap my face with lace and other materials, place it on a scanner with objects, and also move them around to create effects. The scanner then captures the image like a camera. This technique is known as Scanography. Also Scanner Art.
I use filter and spot fix to enhance and clean up the images.
I really enjoy creating this way.
