Album cover or art redesign of a 2015 release by BTS—The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2. The album is part of a larger trilogy centering on the Chinese proverb roughly translated to mean a flowering period of time when you or the situation is in bloom, but an ephemeral sort of beauty as flowers have; that things don’t last, and there’s essentially a very conscious awareness of the end or plural ends. The artist themselves have equated this proverb to accurately describe the experience and mentality of youth, pulling also from a common Korean proverb that proclaims “it hurts because it’s youth”.
In line with BTS’ marketing strategy of two different color versions for each album within the trilogy, the digital works are titled under a version modifier as well. “Daydream” is a direct translation of a Korean phrase that has been culturally used to name the stages of flowering and was also used in the album booklet of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1.
