Three historical figures shaped the whole landscape in the region where I live.
The two heads were Roman martyrs and saints. They were tortured and beheaded for refusing to worship the Roman Emperor. Today a huge cathedral remembers the martyrs.
In the center is the woman, who tried to help the sick, As soon as the Emperor heard about it he declared her a witch and she had to flee.
But the Emperor got sick and she agreed to heal him. A valley got named after her.
