These were spritely anemones when they first bloomed, but with such heavy heads and spindly stems, all it took was one rainstorm to pelt them to the ground. I thought they made an interesting pattern on the soil.
Dana Martin is an illustrator and designer who was born in New Mexico and has been roaming ever since.
