Oil painting 16x20 on canvas. This was the view one evening at our lodge in Jackson Hole. The chill in the air shows with the weak light fading behind the snow capped mountains. I used extra thick paint on the snow and the foliage for added texture.
I love nature and use it as my inspiration for my landscapes and studies. I'm based in Tennessee, but am inspired by many types of landscapes. I normally work in oil and water color, but I also love sketching in pencil and ink.
