"Almost Out" 8X8 watercolor on 100% Shizen recycled paper
This piece sprang from my love of the woods. I love the feeling of being nestled in the trees and seeing the last light try to fade beyond the mountains. The spidery branches trying to keep me in turn into embraces. This paper was interesting to work with due to its extremely rough texture. I tried to make use of it by working with a dry brushing technique. I adore the transition of color from blue to green, to even a purplish red here. </p>
I love nature and use it as my inspiration for my landscapes and studies. I'm based in Tennessee, but am inspired by many types of landscapes. I normally work in oil and water color, but I also love sketching in pencil and ink.
