"Pulse" is part of a series of paintings exploring the sublime in landscapes, both as agreeable horror and as quiet, intimate moments, to foster feelings of something small and infinite. Inspired by the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke.
Corolyn Holub is a fine artist working in Austin, Texas, who uses various studio techniques to explore how intense, sentimental connections alleviate and motivate future actions. She is interested in perceptions of place – of how one exists in the world. In May 2014 she received her B.F.A. in Studio Art as well as Business Certification at The University of Texas at Austin.
