Part of the series "Torii." Inspired by traveling to various shrines spread throughout Japan, the series reflects the importance of place and the specific role of gateways in shaping one’s connection to a space.
Corolyn Holub is a fine artist working in Austin, Texas, who uses various studio techniques to explore how intense, sentimental connections alleviate and motivate future actions. She is interested in perceptions of place – of how one exists in the world. In May 2014 she received her B.F.A. in Studio Art as well as Business Certification at The University of Texas at Austin.
