Part of the series "Torii." Inspired by traveling to various shrines spread throughout Japan, the series reflects the importance of place and the specific role of gateways in shaping one’s connection to a space.
Corolyn Holub is an artist and creative professional working in Austin, Texas, who uses various mediums and techniques to to explore how intense, sentimental connections motivate future actions. She is interested in perceptions of place and being—of how one exists in the world and how that identification with place shapes our memories and interactions. She holds a B.F.A. in Studio Art as well as a Business Certification from The University of Texas at Austin.
