A portrait of Nat Love/Deadwood Dick. Nat was a knockout black cowboy with a pretty impressive autobiography and, not being one to give up any chance to draw bison, I decided to draw from the chapter in his book about a Buffalo stampede:
"A Buffalo Stampede--On They Came, a Maddened, Plunging Snorting, Bellowing Mass of Horns and Hoofs."
Claire Hummel is an LA-based art director and concept artist who has been active in the games industry for over a decade. She most recently shipped Half-Life: Alyx, and is still at Valve working on a number of other cool projects, with a number of equally cool people.
