Cynthia Velásquez is of Chilean-Guatemalan descent, born in Los Angeles, California. Her work currently focuses on issues reflecting her identities as a queer [email protected] woman of color in the United States. Her choice in mediums vary from multimedia painting, clay, and photography.
She studied Gender, Ethnic, Multicultural Studies and Fine Arts from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She has been a part of several solo and group gallery shows and film festivals in Southern California and Chicago, Illinois.
