I'm honored to unveil "Heaven's Lullaby," the fourth entry in my deeply personal "Jesus and Mary" series. This intimate portrayal captures Mary as she watches over the sleeping form of baby Jesus. The painting is awash with gentle hues of blue and gold, evoking a sense of divine warmth and sacredness that envelopes the beholder.
Luke 2:6-7 offers the biblical foundation for this artwork. "While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no guest room available for them." Inspired by these powerful lines, I've sought to crystallize that extraordinary moment of sublime simplicity and monumental significance.
As you take in the soothing colors and intricate details of the painting, you'll notice that the hushed environment around them feels almost like a sacred secret, shared only with those willing to embrace the story's profound spirituality.
At its core, "Heaven's Lullaby" serves as a vivid reminder of the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of our Savior. Through this divine miracle, God reveals His grandeur, teaching us that greatness often dwells in simplicity, and that love is the most powerful force of all.
