It is with a heart full of gratitude and joy that I present to you "He Found Me," a moving addition to my Easter Collection. This painting depicts our Savior, Jesus Christ, tenderly carrying a lost lamb back to safety, inspired by the loving parable found in Luke 15:4-5.
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home."
In crafting this piece, my intention was to capture the moment of rescue and relief, both for the lamb and for our Savior, whose joy in finding one lost soul is immeasurable. The warmth that radiates from the scene is my favorite aspect; it represents the light of Christ's love that seeks us out and envelops us in grace, no matter where we may have strayed.
"He Found Me" is an artistic expression of the Savior's unending mercy and His personal dedication to each of us. As the lamb is nestled securely in the arms of Jesus, so are we held in the steadfast love and redemption He offers. This artwork is a celebration of being found, of returning to the embrace of the Good Shepherd who rejoices over every single soul reclaimed.
