China 1756.
The Mogwai are in an unseen war with the encroaching human population.
They live in small villages deep underground or high in the trees. GUANG is a brave warrior that shines among the rest for his bravery and tactical mind. He and his kin dislike the humans, with their foul odors, loud speech, and clunky song.
The humans have built a network of trade through all the hallowed banks and hidden tributaries of the Yangtze River. They have pushed much too far with their ‘progress’ and forgotten their relationship with nature.
Guang, has been charged with turning the humans back from the holy places and the homes of the small folk and dragon-kin. He will need all of his wits, and all of his fury to quell the coming tide.
Guang, has a very good reason for hating the humans. He must steel his heart and go on a journey of vengeance. There he will discover the path to forgiveness and eventually he may again know peace.
It may take hundreds of years, and a long road filled with adventure.
But somewhere... far in the future... in a cold and foreign land called Kingston Falls, New York he will meet a boy with a kind soul.
And there, Guang will again know the comfort of a family.
