"Cakawõlõ" translates to "salamander" in Northern Pomo Dialect as recorded by Barrett. I've included Calpso Bulbosa and Dicamptodon ensatus, both relics of redwood forests and the fleeting nature of pristine culture and habitat. The man is from the Little Lake Pomo tribe. his is one in a series paying homage to Californian's aboriginal tribes before there was a California.
