Original art piece: Graphite and conte crayon on paper, 22 x 30 in, 2020.
Charles-Alexandre Gauthier has been drawing images all his life. He studied fine arts in Montreal at the Saidye Bronfman center for the arts and in New York city at The art students league, while navigating a career in 2d animation, mainly as a storyboard artist.
Lately he has been concentrating on making imaginary art, striving for a workflow that would result in an ambiguous balance between figurative and abstract art. He is influenced by a plethora of artists and art movements, while being particularly excited about the mysterious approaches of artists Beksinski and Wols.
This is a gallery-quality giclée art print on 100% cotton rag archival paper, printed with archival inks. Each art print is listed by sheet size and features a minimum one-inch border.
