Born in Knoxville, Tenn., his childhood took him to Atlanta, Ga., and finally to Muscle Shoals, Ala., where he took root and used his surroundings and experiences as inspiration for his works.
As a three-year-old, he doodled in church, and immersed himself in painting at the age of 12.
