Britta Kwamya is a self-taught visual artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Born 1990 to a Ghanaian mother and Ugandan father, much of her work is an exploration of third culture identity. Her folkloric gouache & mixed media paintings reflect on themes of tradition, family, sexuality, and the reconciliation of the past with the present.
