Ranging from the Dakotas to some parts of Mexico, the Jackalope is said to be a very territorial beast, each claiming up to 300 sq. miles of land. It is also said that they only mate under the weather of impending thunderstorms. These facts may explain the Jackalope's rare appearance.
They are inextricably linked to Thunderbird, Great Bringer of Storms. The flapping of Thunderbird's wings creates thunder, and you know Thunderbird is directly overhead when the ground shakes from the mighty boom. Thunderbird can cover the sky, and is rumored to have a wingspan of up to 40 miles. However, it may also possess the ability to shrink itself to the size of a hawk at will. Only those who have seen it know, and most agree Thunderbird to be some sort of god....
