The thought behind this came from the events of Harvey. I'm from Houston, but I went to school near Dallas. I ended up going back to campus before the storm hit. Thankfully, my family was okay. It was so surreal seeing all the damage being done. Seeing pictures and video of everything familiar get flooded... it was heartbreaking, especially being so far away. However, the amazing thing was seeing everyone come together and help each other out. All of the compassion shown was a reminder that there's still good in this world, despite the situation. I love my home. We are Houston Strong.
I used bluebonnets because they're the state flower. I wanted to paint something that gives a feeling of hope. Something uplifting, hence the sunlight shining through.
I'm a traditional and digital artist who specializes in creating colorful, abstract landscapes. My favorite environments are ones that are beautiful, atmospheric, and have a feeling of seclusion. I want to create worlds I can immerse myself in; a sanctuary of peace and wonder.
