Barbara is an award winning watercolor artist, born 1930 in Kobe, Japan. And after graduating from San Francisco State University in the early 1950’s, she began her career as an elementary school teacher in Cypress, California. Barbara taught for 30 years before retiring in 1986 to devote full time to her artistic passion - watercolor painting. Schooled in the 1980's Southern California watercolor scene, her painting styles range from impressionist to realist with emphasis on contemporary design with bold use of color. Stylistic influences range from Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keefe, Don O’Neill, Carolyn Lord, and Milford Zornes, and Harvey Clemens. ...
