Victoria, 13 years old, looks after her sister’s daughter whiles she works hard
on the farm to provide for her family, in a remote town in Bayelsa, Nigeria called Azuzarama. Local farms like the one Victoria’s sister works on has seen their yield dramatically decrease due to massive oil pollution affecting the land and water. The text on her dress reads ‘Never too late’ the destruction we witnessed first hand was such a wake-up call to me that as a global community we must do better to protect the environment and the most vulnerable people who are directly affected by oil spills.
