Not long ago I was terrorized and fascinated by a documentary about insects. In it I learnt how a fungus-parasite grew in the insect´s body. I was very surprised to see this, I had never seen something similar and came up with the idea of this illustration. I decided to compare the insect exoskeleton with a medieval knights armor, hope you enjoy it! Cheers!
I was born in Madrid, where I finished my studies as an Illustrator and graphic designer.
Since young I was captivated by mythology and the world of folklore, as well as any story that would enroll a series of nightmare creatures, fantasy characters or the eternal fight between good and evil.
Angus Mcbride, John Howe, Alan lee, and Ted Nasmith are some of the authors that have influenced my work since then.
I pay special attention to details when I work. I design mainly by pencil; afterwards I apply color and textures digitally.
