The land rights, violence against women and young girls, the disproportionate level of arrests, limited access to housing, education, water and child protection… The list goes on. This is a human rights crisis in a first world country. The unprecedented amount of grief that was caused by our government to the Indigenous peoples is not something we can ever fully understand.
