I created this artwork inspired by the feeling of being "overgrown" with thoughts. With too much going on in your mind and too many racing thoughts, I represented this with the overflowing plants coming from the subjects head. In this piece, I used myself as the subject as this illustration serves as a reflection of my own struggles with mental health. To me, the word "overgrown" perfectly represented how it felt sometimes to have these struggles, and I felt as though by representing my thoughts as unruly plants would create an interesting metaphor. I used a variety of more muted tones with an emphasis on a yellow toned light to create a symbol of hope, while also accentuating the subject. I created this on Procreate!
