I created this piece during my time in a drawing and painting course at my school using watercolor, Prismacolor colored pencils, and white gel pens. This aim of this piece was to create a self portrait and "fracture" it in some sort of way. I did this by drawing my head split open, overflowing with beautiful, yet unruly plants. I wanted this piece to feel slightly offputting and unsettling, so I repeated my eyes throughout the entirety of the piece. I see this work as a reflection and portrayal of my own mental health struggles and the feeling of being "overgrown" with challenges and struggle behind the eyes.
This is a gallery-quality giclée art print on 100% cotton rag archival paper, printed with archival inks. Each art print is listed by sheet size. Our 4 inch prints feature a minimum half-inch margin while larger sizes feature a minimum one-inch margin.
