The Horse King was a natural leader, steadfast and confident. He was the source for the Orchid Kingdom's success, though this often meant he was absent from the palace for long stretches of time. An adventurer at heart, the Horse King found it too difficult to stay in the opulent halls, and instead served the kingdom by seeking out wealth to bring back. His efforts were not in vain; thanks to his travels, gold and resources flowed abundantly to the people through trade with neighboring lands, it was as if he could turn straw into silk. His true gift, however, was his uncanny ability to find hidden treasure. After hearing rumors of a wondrous opportunity to the east, he sets out now on a new hunt with a magic compass in hand, his knight and aide beside him.
