In the Chrysanthemum Kingdom where it is always autumn, Sparrow lived a sheltered but boring life (though who could blame her family for wanting to keep her safe, after her sibling had been injured by a greedy and jealous person). But her quiet routine of working at her family’s inn changed suddenly when a knight stayed for a meal before continuing his journey. Inspired by the warrior’s tales and determined to change her destiny, she packed what she could (along with an offering of flowers) and in the early hours of dawn slipped out. Sparrow followed the knight’s trail towards the Chrysanthemum Palace and begged him to take her as a student.
Addi Miyako is based in the beautiful Bay Area in Northern California. She draws inspiration from nature, Japanese folklore, and the feminine.
When not creating art, she enjoys singing, traveling, and trying new foods.
